Kolkata knightriders wins by 11runs according to Duckworth-louis method.Captain Brendon Mc Cullum won the toss and elected to bowl first,Ishant sharma gave a good start by picking Goel's wicket in the first over,but Irfan pathan came as 3rd batsmen and started to blow. Ganguly bowled his first over and took Pathan's wicket as well as Bopara's wicket in his first over just by giving 2runs in the over.Yuvraj was caught at the deep point but when asked to third umpire it was clearly showing the ball was grounded,later he tried to hit some big ones but lost his wicket .Jayawardene hit some good strokes in the final over to take the score to158.
Mc Cullum and Gayle opened the innings for Kkr ,Gayle was dropped on 2 and he took the advantage of it and smashed 19 runs in Pathan's next over,Mc Cullum and Gayle made a fast and furious partnership of 57 in just 5 overs. Gayle was again dropped on 32 and he just carried the run flow in his style. Mc Cullum lost his wicket when he was on 24 of 16 ball,then Hodge joined the party and played few good strokes. Ganguly didnt get the opportunity to bat, but he had done well job through ball. At the begining of 10th over rain interupt the play which led to enforce Duckworth -louis method,Kkr were 71/1 when rain interupted the play. Kkr declared victorious by 11 runs.With this Kkr opened their first points in the tournament.
Rain damaged kingsXI match for the second time and went against them this time too,seems next time before leaving to ground KingsXI team would check the weather and not the opposition team against whom they are playing.
