India put up a target of 223 against New Zealand in its do or die match,
After winning the toss India elected to bat first but Dinesh karthik went soon on a duck, Sehwag held the innings and played a sensible knock of 110(87) which helped India to reach 223.
No other batsmen lasted long on the crease only Dhoni was the next to make 38 and rest were in single digits, India were 199-5 in 39 overs but there was a disaster awaiting soon it turned to 204-9. Finally some boundaries by Ishant and Munaf helped to reach the score of 223
