
Mumbai Indians lose by 9 runs in a thriller match against Highveld Lions in the opening match of Champions League .
Highveld Lions won the toss elected to bat first ,Lions made a good start and thrashed almost every bowler of the Mumbai Indians , Zaheer was the most expensive bowler 4 0ver 35 runs without any wicket. Harbhajan was the economical bowler for Mumbai Indians 3 over 22 runs and a wicket was good looking in the bowling chart .
While Mc Laren was a surprise 1over 4 runs and two wickets was bonus for MI.
Though Lions are unknown but they thrashed a very strong team of T20 lead by the worlds batsmen Sachin Tendulkar.
The openers Vandiar and peterson made a good start but peterson fell short while scoring a run and got run out at a score of 12, while Vandiar did the best and made a score of 71 (48bowl, 4's 4, 6's 3).
It was McKenzie who finished well at the end and remained not out at a score 0f 56(33bowl, 4's 7, 6's 1) and it was 186/5 in 20 overs.
Batting second MI started really well compared to Lions, Dhawan and Sachin banged all the bowlers in every direction of the field.

Sachin Tendulkar proved why he is called the best batsman in the world, his furious batting made bowlers and fielders stun on the ground.
Sachin was making the target simple but he misjudged a ball by Bunger and was bowled at the score of 69(42bowl, 4's 9, 6's 0)
It was Duminy who looked good after sachin, he made a core of 30(23 ball, 4's 2, 6's 1) when he was caught by peterson while looking to put the ball in the ropes.
Pollard couldnt do anything much to reach the total and got out on a score of 19(9bowl, 4's 1, 6's 2)
In the end it was nine run short for Mumbai Indians 177/6 in 20 overs.
