The worlds best batsman Sachin Tendulkar has been awarded as group captain by IAF(Indian Air force).
Sachin Tendulkar has been awarded this rank because of his achievements in cricketing career and his contribution to the country which make us prod.
He's the first person to be awarded with this rank without any aviation background and first sportsperson to get this rank by IAF.
"Its a great pleasure and honou to be honoured by IAF. It was wishful thinking and it has come true today . I'm extremely proud to be a part of IAF today. I want to urge the youth to join IAF and serve the nation .So dream, because dreams come true." Sachin after recieving the honour.
Air chief marshall(IAF) said sachin's association with IAF will help making youth aware of IAF , because youth admire him alot and that will help to create interest among youths in IAF.
