CSK won the toss and elected to bat first, Chennai put up a score of 165/4 in 20 overs with Hayden scoring 35(31) highest for CSK. Dhoni scored 31(18) which helped CSK to reach a respectable score.
MI started well in the begining but couldn't continue as Dhawan fell early for 16(18), Sachin too couldnt make any much difference and lost his wicket on 45. It seemed MI batsmen were in hurry to go to pavillion. Harbhajan singh tried to get some runs but it was too late for them.
In the end MI lost the match by 24 runs
